ASPIRA Business and Finance High School is a community charter school under the auspices of Chicago Public Schools. ASPIRA is a community organization founded in 1961 by Dr. Antonia Pantoja. ASPIRA was born during the civil rights era in defense of diverse learners. Pantoja, a social worker and researcher, believed that the development of our youths’ self-esteem was a precondition for academic excellence and required students to understand and appreciate their cultural heritage.
